Learn More From Our Novato Dentists About How We Rebuild Smiles

If you are dealing with dental damage or infection, restorative care will repair damage and rebuild your smile. Today our Novato dentists are talking about three treatments that can help you get back on track. No matter what kinds of dental problems you’re dealing with, we’re here to help you love your smile again.

Gum grafts

Periodontal disease causes oral tissues to weaken and degrade over time. You may find that your gum tissue is actually pulling away from your teeth, causing gaps that we cause periodontal pockets. When gum tissue is severely damaged, you may benefit from gum tissue grafts that use healthy tissues to build up missing gums. This not only improves the overall health of your smile; it also minimizes dental sensitivity.

Dental implants

A dental implant is a type of replacement tooth that replaces not only the dental crown, but the tooth root as well. The foundation of the dental implant is the titanium screw or post that sits in the jaw tissue. Over time, the titanium is actually able to bond with natural bone tissue—creating a strong, stable fit, while simultaneously supporting healthy jawbone density. Once the new root is in place, we place and abutment and customized restoration above the gum line.

Implant-stabilized dentures

We also use titanium implant roots to hold larger prostheses, like dentures, in place. Using just a few implant roots, we can greatly improve the stability and fit of these dental appliances. Once the implant roots are in place, we will design the denture base to fit over these titanium posts.

Now is the time to get a handle on your oral health. If left untreated, many types of dental damage will intensify and spread throughout your smile. The best way to get started on the road to recovery is to reach out to our Novato restorative dentists for a personal consultation.
