About Dr. Steven McConnell

Dr. McConnell has been serving the community with exceptional, compassionate dental care for over 30 years. His focus on overall oral health and esthetic dentistry requires highly specialized procedures using advanced technology. He provides services in full mouth rejuvenation, dental aging, smile makeover, bite analysis and unbalanced bite correction, periodontal disease prevention, dental implants, teeth whitening, veneers, and sedation dentistry.
Dr. Steven McConnell graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco. He is a certified specialist in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and since 1978, the sole practitioner/owner of The Marin Center for Restorative & Cosmetic Dentistry in Novato. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and he is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Locally he is a member of the California Dental Society and the Marin County Dental Society. He has completed additional education and training in a number of specialties including sedation dentistry, non surgical periodontal laser therapy, and CEREC restorations.
Dr. McConnell integrates advanced technology and waste reduction, minimally invasive techniques, and non-toxic materials into his patients’ treatment plans, while maintaining a paperless office. His commitment to environmental responsibility is a natural outgrowth of his dedication to the highest standard of patient care. Performing digital x-rays in lieu of film and using CEREC natural porcelain crowns rather than traditional laboratory-made restorations reflect the green initiative he instituted in 2001.
Considered a compassionate practitioner as well as a master clinician and dental artist, Dr. McConnell was recently nominated by his peers and selected by the Consumers' Research Council of America as one of "America's Top Dentists." He is also a dental health expert for Smart Now, a website devoted to providing health, fitness, and wellness information to the public.
About Dr. Banks
Dr. Jake Banks is a graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, which is widely considered one of the top programs in the country. His primary focus is delivering excellent dental healthcare that fully addresses his patient’s concerns and health needs in a gentle way. Dr. Banks is committed to making each experience at the dentist pleasant and comfortable.
Dr. Banks is a firm believer that excellent oral health extends beyond the mouth, and takes a full body approach to healthcare. He brings his vast skill set to the Marin Center for Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry. He is able to provide dentistry to patients of all ages including children using the most modern dental techniques and technology. He provides services in Invisalign®, complex restorative dental cases, sedation, extractions, implants, teeth whitening, smile design, cosmetic restorations, crowns, veneers, endodontics, deep hygienic cleanings, soft tissue laser surgery, nutrition counseling and more. In addition, Dr. Banks was recognized by the American Academy of Orofacial Pain for his assessment and management of TMJ pain in June 2011.
Dr. Banks lives locally in Novato, and enjoys the natural beauty of Marin and California to its fullest. Dr. Banks is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, skiing, and fishing with family and friends during his free time.
Dr. Banks is an active member of the Marin County Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
